The era of “pay-to-play” climate gatekeeping is at a watershed point. For years, organisations have felt pressured into choosing relatively high-cost, high-barrier-to-entry branded Net Zero/sustainability programmes. The landscape has now fundamentally changed – in June ISO published its ISO 14060 Net Zero draft standard. As with all other ISO standards (once you have purchased the standard documents for a very modest cost) you can use it for free. The ISO route allows users to self-declare or to seek verification from a broad and competitive market of auditors (rather than a single branded source). This is fundamentally different to other ‘membership’-style programmes that exist across the world. We examine in the webinar the difference between major Net Zero standards and the implications – so that you can confidently start/progress your Net Zero programme with confidence (and budget intact!).
